What are the pros/cons of the swivel and the notched legs on the Harris bipods? I'm thinking of getting the BRM with Larue LT130 QD mount for my 18" SPR. Good choice?

  3. Get the BRM-S. Add a pod loc and you have the best of all worlds.

I like the arredondo quick release mount more than the larue. http://www.arredondoaccessories.com/category.cfm?cid=1004,2009&PID=fc25l4901qdeav&GID=

You hit the button and pull and it's off. Much faster than the larue lever. It's what the 3 gun guys use because after shooting the long range portion of the stage we can quickly detach it and move to the short range portion.

I like the non swivel but that's a preference thing. It's just more solid and deploys faster. Most of the 3 gun guys run the non swivel for this reason. The swivel version lets you fine adjust so the recticle is perfectly level when on uneven ground.

For precision work, that's what I run.

I did just order a Atlas though. I expect that it will straight rape any Harris.
