Recently my external harddrive has been clicking; once ever hour or so it would click and the harddrive would restart. Does it mean that that it won't be working anymore soon?

http://www.panterasoft.com/ fair (not great) predicter of failures. tells you of any changes that occur on your drive. I installed it recently to find out for sure a new drive I bought was bad before I RMA'd it.

Note: the program is extremely fucking annoying if you use it all the time. as stated, I used it to test a drive, and less than a week later, I uninstalled it because of the amount of "alerts" it gives you, both good and bad.

    edit: bad link. laziness.

Nothing annoying about it and it gets the job done from showing the S.M.A.R.T. info and testing the drive.
