so my boss needs to back up his entire hdd.

he got a 250 gig external hdd...whats the best way to go about this? ive never really done a full system back before.

is there a way to back up windows, all his files, and all his programs? pretty much be able to get his computer back to what it is exactly today...if it died on him tommorrow?

Backing up Windoze is almost useless because you can't just copy it back over and it work. Make a disk image and store it away then back up changed data files that you need. Or just back up all your data files then to an incremental backup of changed files.
