I've been working hard these past 16 or so weeks trying to get my big 3 numbers up. When I finished the 3x3 program last time, I started it back up again, which may or may not have been a mistake.

Anyway, this is the final week where I see if all this pain is worth it and so far I'm 1 for 2. Tuesday I hit my deadlift goal(415) but today I missed my bench goal(300). For some reason or another, I cannot break the 300lb barrier. I came close, but close doesn't count. It was halfway up, I thought I could do it, but my spotter and I had a difference of opinion. Since he helped a little, I'm calling it a miss.

So I get nothing. I lose. Good day, sir.

Well, yesterday the work paid off.

It was max squat day so I warmed up to a 1rm of 435. 435 went up a little easier than I thought so I thought I may have some more in me. I loaded up 450 and got it but just barely. :bigthumb: Yes it was a legit rep, went down to parallel and everything.

    So now my numbers are:

    285 bench
    415 dead
    450 squat

    Hooray for imbalances.

Try to eat more, your diet is probably lacking I'm guessing.

my shits the same way, except my squat is 405 and my dead is 425

i just cant crank out that 305/315 on bench...but I'm not too worried, all in due time, plus I'm not really focusing on numbers right now

I learnt a long time ago that you cant beat yourself up for not hitting a number.. its all about consistancy. try again next week. There have been times when one week i could rep XXX and the next week say i didnt eat right or was tired and stressed for work and couldnt even move it. Just keep your head up and keep lifting.. life is to short to die puny.
