I have a 120 gb harddrive on mine, and the biggest thing I've added to the computer since I got it a few weeks ago was 14 gigs of music.

Yet, It says I only have 63 gigs available and am using 48? I have only installed Acquisition and Limewire and MS office, but Office only takes up about 450 megabytes.

I guess I am wondering what is taking up the 33 gigs (48 minus the 15 or so I've used) all the space, just the pre-loaded apps? That's a shitload of space to use.

download a program called "monolingual" and run it, it removes all the unnecessary language files and will save a few gigs.

also remove the printer drivers of everything you aren't using. that will help get rid of 3-4 gig too.

120 hard drives usually format to 111. then if its a intelmac that your using you lose another 10 on the OS install

plus garageband loops and the app itself, I think Garageband is like 1.2 GB or something like that and all the loops add up to around 3 GB
