I might be flying with my not yet completed AR soon. I thought I saw a hard case that was not so conspicuous... it required you to separate the upper and lower receivers before it would fit in there.

Anyone know of a case like that?

Well, what parts do you already have? All you really need to lock up is the lower itself. And if it's not completed, dont really need a large case.

Rock River Arms provides a blue hard case like that.

I like the SKB cases. You can switch the lock handles from tsa approved to non tsa, no tsa is going to look at this shit locks.

Any experience with flying recently? I could never get a straight answer out of TSA; one rule says that all locks have to be TSA-approved and openable, but the firearms rule says that the case must be secured and only openable by the owner.
