hang cleans = awesome exercise

    i usually like to throw them in every now and then, but im definitely making them routine. my traps never get this beat, and im feeling it all over too. i usually do 3 sets of 8.

    try doing a full clean. if you're feeling owned after hang's, you'll die with full's

    i wish i could clean more effectively, my wrist flexibility sucks. im working on it though.

    full cleans leave me dead which is why I only do them every other week :hs:

    I do them on back days in place of deads :dunno:

    either or. I guess the deciding factor is how your routine is set up. I don't think I would do them on days you do heavy shrugs or following a leg day. :dunno:

    when doing the last movement on that video, I believe it's called a push press, I feel it in my lower back. Does that mean I'm not using my shoulders enough or what is going on. Basically it feels like my lower back is being pounded into the floor, which I'm sure should happen, but not to the extent it feels like in my back.

    it might be your back arching to make it into a incline press due to shoulders not being able to press? Try to put your head under the bar after it gets your head.

    fyi, my traps are still blasted but they look bigger :naughty: i think i could attribute the soreness to alcohol binging the last few nights

    If you feel it in your back you are not using enough of your legs to drive the bar upwards and instead turning the overhead into a pseudo strict/incline/push press. Secondly,when the bar gets over head, it will sound strange, but think of pushing your head forward. If you do this, it should cause your body to adopt a more favorable posture for supporting weight over head and should aid in elevating any lower back discomfort during the exercise.
