Do you think an airsoft pistol with a little target to shoot in my living room will improve my pistol accuracy? Or does the weight and recoil difference make practicing with an airsoft gun worthless?

I think the only thing you could practice with an airsoft gun are the rules...

(i.e. gun is ALWAYS loaded, etc.)

Well I sure don't think it could hurt trigger control and I think it could help you with quick acquisition of sights and shooting while moving.

If you get a good airsoft the training can be real good. Gas blowbacks that have the same controls and trigger as the real thing are great. You can practice draw and fire sequences, and they're also great for force on force training with a friend.

I actually had a shitty gas beretta that had a pretty strong double action trigger pull. I'd be bored and just practice in my room aiming at a target and squeezing perfectly and to be honest I noticed an improvement in my pistol shooting.

you would probably be better off dry firing. you arent going to learn any accuracy from an airsoft because the balistics will be different than a real gun. so actually shooting your gun would be better than switching from a real tool to a stupid toy for training.

just unload the gun in your bedroom. rack the slide a good dozen times, while telling yourself the gun is not loaded
go in the living room, rack the slide a few more times. then practice.
