Krystof is gangster for taking all these fights short notice. But i see this being a better fight for vera. At least Hammil had a good shot at dry humping him for 15 minutes. Krystof's bjj isnt good enough to sub him, and his stand up has way too many holes.

i'm calling Vera by decision and no one will like him still for not pulling the trigger and going for the KD :(

henderson would take that one easy. he does everything better than hammil-wrestling, striking, hearing, jiu jitsu

I'm sure Krystztophff Szcyozinstskyi won't strike with Vera, we'll see how he does on the ground. Was it the kimura that he's such a fan of? Doubt he'll sub Vera but he might control him enough on the ground to get a decision.

    Going with...KS...by unanimous decision.

I dont recall Krystof's wrestling being all that great. And I know those guys at quest drill the clinch game a ton. Which will just look like wasted time because his thai clinch and his greco roman won't be nearly as good as Vera's.

Krystof needs to bully Vera and not let him get comfortable and set up his shots.

Yeah that's true, I guess I'm just banking on Krystof being the stronger guy in this fight? I agree though the clinch would be a bad place for Krystof, his only option is to try and pressure like Hendo did with Bisping and go for big shots and takedowns.

cmon, no way krystof wins this...Vera has much better standup and he's a really talented wrestler and he's great on the ground. He won't get taken down and if the fight does go to the ground he won't get submitted. Veras gonna pick him apart on his feet and either win a decision or maybe get a tko win.

Brandon Vera isn't anything special, never was, just another over hyped fighter with little in terms of skill, and ability.

Krzysztof takes this one, not easily, but well win, probably by armbar.

I think the hype was build to a show for the Philippines since UFC wanted to do business over there. I never thought much of him either

Did you see the fight? Mir looked like shit. It was only his 3rd fight back after the wreck, and his 2nd loss in 3 fights. Beating Mir at that time didn't carry any sort of weight like beating him today would. The fact that he was a champion before and ended up being one again later doesn't mean he was championship material when Vera fought him.

IMO, the loss to Vera said more about Mir's condition at the time than it did about Vera's talent.

Veras a talented dude, he seems to have a strong background in every area of MMA. I don't know the specifics but he's trained a lot of Muay Thai and hes really good at it. He has a background in wrestling and has trained with Hendo, Randy and a lot of other dudes at the olympic training center and they've all talked about how good Brandon is. He's also got some good BJJ experience and i think he's won several tournaments, pan-ams i think.

When he first came to the UFC he won his first 3 fights via ko/tko within the first couple mins of the first round. He was tearin through people until he had some problem with his management that made him take over a year off. When he came back he lost a boring fight against Tim Syvia who beat him through pure size and laid against him on the cage for 3 rounds. He then fought Werdum where the ref stopped the fight way early and lost via TKO. Since then he's been really tentative and hasn't looked anything like he did since his first few UFC fights. Although his last fight he looked really pretty good, except he still looks afraid to pull the trigger.
