I really think everyone is overreacting about not just Hammill/Bisping, but virtually every bad decision in MMA.

Firstly, bad decisions happen in every sport. Basketball had a referee who was PROVED to have been shaving points, and basketball is not going to tank as a result. Football has bad ref jobs all the time and its not going to tank. Hockey, Soccer, Baseball are all victims of bad officiating, and they're not going anywhere.

While these are all mainstream sports, and MMA is still fledgeling, there is an important parallel to be drawn. As long as this doesn't become Pro Wrestling in MMA, in all sports, the PLAYERS drive fans away much more than the officiating.

Basketball strike? Lower viewership, Baseball Strike? Lower viewership? Hockey Strike? No viewership.

If you want to not be the victim of bad officiating, don't make it a close fight. In any sport where humans are judging it, there will be error, no exceptions.

    I really think you're wrong.

This was on the scale of having Team A scoring a touchdown and the points get awarded Team B.

I was cheering for Bisping and it wasn't even a close fight. He only won the 3rd round due to the last 2 minutes of the round.

Good analogy. Bad officiating is one thing (early stoppages, no point deduction for continued groin strikes, etc.), but judging, which occurs only here and boxing, is on a different scale.

i thought one round hamill dominated, one round bisping eeked it out, and one round was really hard to score. i think hamill should have been given the nod but hey, just an opinion.
