    I'm ready to ditch my kit lens and need a replacement "all-around" lens. I typically shoot landscapes and stuff when I'm traveling. I shoot people some times too.

    I plan on getting a 10-22 at some point for the lower range..

    Sigma 17-70mm f2.5-4.5

    or

    Canon EF-S 17-85 f/4-5.6 IS USM

    btw, I'm shooting with an XTi (upgrading to a 40d next month).

    whats your budget? why not get the 17-55 2.8 IS or the cheaper tamron without IS?
