I'm scope retarded so I'll need some help.

I need to get a mount with it. I has the 91/30 Mosin.

For those under a rock, this is my Mosin. http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=4040607

Now I'm off to watch the Nightmare Before Christmas 2 disc dvd.

    Step 1: remove stock completely
Step 2: Heat up rear sight base with torch to melt solder holding it on, pound rear sight base off.
Step 3: Install something like this: http://www.opticsplanet.net/b-squar...picatinney-weaver-fits-9-5mm-13-5mm-dove.html (just a 11mm dovetail to weaver adapter)
Step 4: Mount scope of choice (long eye relief; pistol scopes)

This is how the mount works on mosins - it clamps onto the dovetail that the rear sight base was attached to. Here it is on my mosin. This will be as cheap as most of those rear sight replacement mounts that only replace the flip up part of the rear sight, and will be 100x more sturdy.

Yep. Some are pinned on, some are soldered. I should have mentioned that, but most seem to be soldered. Just keep in mind these guns arent super accurate... mine will hit pop cans almost every time at 100 yards but it's a beater. Works great for a cheap deer gun though

I've just got some crappy ncstar 2-7x pistol scope. Its fine for what I use it for (plinking mostly) but it's pretty crappy in general. I didn't want to spend more on the scope than I did on the gun, and I only spent $80 on the gun.

There's a base that screws into the left side of the receiver. If you search enough piles of mosins and check the insides of the receivers, you will find an ex-sniper like I did. You can see the filled plugs in the left side of the receiver. You then inlet the stock to fit the bracket. The scope mount attaches to the bracket with a ball hinge at the front, and a large thumbscrew at the rear. The rear of the bracket mount has rudimentary vertical adjustments. Once you get it close then you dial in with the scope.

I have a cheapy scout rail that will work on an M44 or M91/30. I've never used it though.
