Recently got off of prednisone and have noticed significant hair-loss. I've since read up online that hair-loss seems to be a side-effect of tapering down and stopping prednisone.

So basically I need to know what to do to get my thick/lucsious hair back.

    Nizoral? (sp?)

    minoxidil?

I'd be 200lbs if I had no hair.

I'm taking this stuff for my hair that was thinned from Accutane, it is called Alterna: Life. I won't know if it is doing anything for a few months though.

I use nizoral twice a week. And I am planning on taking Finasteride (propecia) too.

Its best to go to the dermatologist though and get it checked.

Well if its from Prednisone then maybe it'll just grow back on its own.

Well, inform me of the mechanics behind prednisone related hairloss, I mean, is it an androgen related hairloss, or something kinda like chemo that just causes the hair follices to eject the follicle, because if its like the chemo, it'll grow back? Also, look for some hairs on your shoulders, if they have lil white bulbs attached to the ends of them, then thats the follicle which is bad, if not, then dont sweat it.
