Finder wouldnt boot anymore but other apps would load. Force quit finder/relaunch didnt work.
disk first aid didnt work, fsck -y didnt work.
So i installed an OS on an external FW hd, and booted off that to back up my stuff... I just forgot to back up my itunes and iphotos. Some of my mail is missing too, despite saving the mail folders
    :uh:
I have an old back up of them but its not the same :sad2:
Now comes the shittyness of finding my serial numbers again, which i can never do. :hsugh: :hs:

just reinstall the system files.. when you run the install disc, just preserve users and network settings (or something similar to that)

    i already nuked it.

And it wouldnt work. the system CD is 10.3 and the OS was 10.3.8 It wouldnt let me do that kind of upgrade.
