My poor old NSX has been looking kind of raggedy lately. Little stone chips all over the front end, some cracked clear-coat on the rear bumper, numerous little scratches on the spoiler and roof panel, remnants of long-ago bug spats on the rear view mirrors, acid rain spots that you could see if the light was just right. It was time for paint.

On July 20, I dropped my car off for fresh paint and on August 20 I brought it home. It looks terrific and I'm delighted to have it back! Here are some pics .

I went to visit it and take pictures every Saturday. Here is the first Saturday.

This is my happy face, I'm getting my car back!

That night I took it for a little cruise out the the beach. Got to see a great sunset and managed to beat the rain coming home.

Sunset in the rear-view. Right where it ought to be. :)

Then of course on Friday it rained like hell while I was at work. Lost its rain cherry in less than a day. That's okay, it cleaned right up when I got home.

i adore the passion you have for this vehicle, its like your baby. You arnt out there for monster power or drag racing, and dont go trying to defend its inherent flaws, you just love it how it is and want it to stay that way

Looks great. I was thinking of having my car repainted down the road the original color. What did it run you to have yours done?

I would have LOVED white, but realistically it would be cheaper and easier to sell this one and buy a white car. I'm sure it would have added many thousands of dollars additional weeks to the job.

Just under $8K out the door. That included a new windshield. I'm pretty sure the guy wouldn't do it again for that price though. It took him a lot longer than he'd planned.

Looks good. $8k isn't that bad considering it looks like it was done correctly. You can't take a car like this to MAACO. :eek3:

You got that right. The economy has put a lot of bargains on the market. I would guess my car is worth $5k less today than it was 18 months ago, new paint notwithstanding.

Not that I care (much) since I have every intention of keeping it until I'm too old to climb out of the driver's seat...
