Had my complimentary personal training session at la fitness....worst workout ever

    some big muscle freak was my trainer and he decided he wanted to do the workout with me. he asks me what i want and i said a 40-50 minute circuit training type of workout...just change it up, keep the heart rate up.

    so we ended up somehow doing CHEST and ARMS, heavy.

    so he's doing 3-4 reps of 315. then i go on the bench, i say i think we should take some weight off...he says "naw dawg i got you man, dont worry"

    so i lift the weight up and hes doing most of the work, my arms are uneven, im tearing up my rotator cuffs.

    basically we did that for every exercise, it would be his weight, and then he was too fucking stubborn to take the weight off for me.

    BWHWHAHA i did preacher curls of 150 pounds....everyone in the gym was looking at me like im some dumbass who thinks can lift so much weight.


    and the best part is....we start doing skull crusher, he turns his head and asks me "hey am i doin this right"

    i've been put through workout 100 times harder than that. the workout itself was a peace of cake....i just couldn't do anything because the weights were for someone that could bench 400 fucking pounds.

    I've yet to do my "complimentary training session" at Lifestyle for the same reason; I'm worried that it's going to be a big waste of my time. None of the trainers there look very good at all.

    and you're an idiot for following whatever the fuck he was doing.

    I remember when I worked out at Bally's some trainer came up to me and started chatting with me, tried being all "bro" with me since we both wrestled in high school and he was a UMich alumni and shit. Then he told me "If you ever want to go through a little routine, get the heart rate going, you know, let me know."
    I was tempted to say something, jokingly, like "How much you pull?" but I just said "Thanks." :rofl:

    jesus....what do you not understand from this. i was pissed off because the workout was easy, it was stupid....i originally told him i want a workout thats going to make me puke, and instead he gave me his dumb chest/biceps workout. i had to lift weight that i couldnt even do one rep of. all i was doing was straining my rotator cuffs, i didnt even get tired because i couldnt even workout the muscles the machines were intended for, i was working my forearms, because i was gripping the bar so tightly since i thought this dumb coon was going to drop this massive amount of weight on my chest.


    no offesne, and i know i've never met you, but id be willing to bet that i've done workouts you wouldn't even make it half way through.

    I'd love for you to come train with me. I train with Pete Konradt (pro strongman) at his metal shop in wauwatosa and train with the Bergmanns on their farm...ever heard of them? He placed 9th at the WSM 08 this year.

    haha fly me up and i'd totally be down. i crave those kinds of challenges.


    but i'd STILL be willing to bet i've been in workouts that would be a challenge for you. but it also sounds like you're more of a power-lifter type of trainer, i'm more into cardio workouts that incorporate a great deal of muscle resistance.

    yea...high quality. even when he asked ME if he was doing the correct form for a skull crusher. i eventually showed him how to do it correctly.

    maybe he just wanted to make you feel good like you knew what you were doing... afterall if he's benching 315 he probably knows how to do a proper skull crusher.

    bro have you tried the 300 workout that shits intense it likes a cardio circuit but with mad muscle resistance its really hard
