I've got a EF-S 35-80mm from a film SLR. I'm going to see how well it matches up (i've heard its a pretty decent field of view), most likely move to the EF-S 17-85mm if im not satisfied.

that lens will get you started for sure, it was my first canon lens back in the day. I think that you may look for something wide and if you are happy with the 35-80 the 18-55 would match up well with it.

I like your style on this one. Have you had any expirience with fixed wide angles?

I'm originally from Sammamish but go to church on Mercer Island. Its crazy how much the old houses go for. A buddy of mine's family bought a house on the water facing eastgate. Looking forward to this summer and checking it out and hitting up Lake Washington. :bigthumb:
