at first i was going to buy a cheap china made set for $100 or so

but the more i look at it the more i want the philip's g4 8000k but that runs about $400+

so i think ill go with McCulloch's for about $250

I've heard of people offering decent retrofit services for roughly $350-500, that is to install an automobile HID projector into your factory headlight assembly.

Halogen reflectors vary greatly from factory HID or projectors. You might end up blinding more people than it's worth- and a few states have already made these kits against the law. Unless of course the bulb is made with the anti-glare coating on the top side, then I think it would work out well.

What kind of riding do you want to do? Twisties, track, cruising, stunting?

I've seen most cruisers on Pacific Coast Highway by Malibu going up to the Rock Store or just hanging around various bars. You know. Cruising, mostly. :)

Hmm, Im kind of looking for a group to ride with. Nothing even far or anything, just to hang out and ride on weekends every now and then. I should look for a bike night near me.

    Where exactly are you?

I also noticed yesterday that lots of cruisers go to ACH after all the sportbikers (like me). Afternoons or late mornings.

Ah, well in that case... Come on up to the Shell station off the 210 freeway on Saturdays around 9-9:30. There's always people up there that ride ACH. I'd say most sportbikers up there run the road at a fairly brisk pace (not exactly cruising), but if you want to cruise, I'm sure you'll find some newbs who will go pretty slow and let you admire the scenery which is really awesome.

ACH used to be so much more fun when there weren't so many @$$hole CHP up there. Now we take it easy and just cruise. Sort of.
