I expect one owner to go broke and sell his shop to a new owner which goes broke and then they sell their shop to another owner and then they go broke, etc etc

Honestly I'd prefer there not be a cafe that served any form of solid food at my gym. The smell alone would piss me off.. and the idea of eating in a gym in general makes me sick. At the most a shake or two. Thing is usually they want $5 for a shitty shake that has at most 1 scoop of protein. If anything.. water, coffee, RTD's.

in all honesty, i expect my gym to not have a cafe...

there's one at the 24 that i go to that serves smoothies and drinks, which is fine... there's bars, bananas, and hard boiled eggs, too, but anything outside of that would probably piss me off

My University gym has a cafe. They have the typical shit:
Smoothies, water, coffee, protein bars, sandwiches (fresh and pre-packaged), tuna, vege-stick, etc.. etc...

Lifetime Fitness (my other gym) has something similar but with a slightly larger selection in food. They also had a mini-supplement store inside the cafe with creatine, whey, protein bars, and other basic supplements. When I used to work there I would eat at the cafe now and again. I never ordered their stupid $8 meals that were loaded with fat and carbs though. Fucking chicken wrap would have 30g fat and 50g carbs.

I would just have them cook me up a couple chicken breasts and throw some cheese on top and load up salsa on top of that. Then 3 hard-boiled eggs on the side. It would cost me like $5 and had like 100g protein

i just dont see a need for it to be honest.

people are in and out, all they might really need is protein shakes/pre workout energy drinks, i dont see people eating big meals, and i personally couldnt anytime around the gym, so the food thing is meh, i dont know, besides coffee, bottled water, gatorade, i really dont see a need for anything. im sure the gym has all the RTD's covered :dunno:

this is pre, or post workout?

if its pre, youd eat that and then immediately work out? if not, what would you do for the 45 mins before you could actually work out after a meal like that?

if its post, you could eat immediately after with your whey/dextrose/waxy maize? how? if not, why would you wait in the gym 45 mins before you could actually eat that instead of going home?

to most the gym is IN AND OUT, not hey let me have breakfast lunch and dinner there and whip out my laptop for an hour then workout etc.

i just dont see a point.

Nah man... I WORKED at the gym. That's what I would eat on my break during work.

Fuck buying my pre/post workout meals there. I've got food at home for cheaper and it tastes better.

exactly, so youre an exception, i dont see why people would eat there if theyre just going to train after/before work.

they just want to be in and out.

other than coffee maybe in the a.m. but most people have even that at home before heading to the gym/work.
