    Lou Alessi one of the "Best Holster Makers" and all round good guy lost his battle with cancer today 02/21/09. *** May he rest in peace.

    I was thinking about getting an Alessi ankle rig after I saw one at a local gun shop a long time ago. Now I guess it is too late.

    Very unfortunate. Last I had heard he was doing better. I own a few of his holsters and they are among the finest you are going to find anywhere in the world.

    Rest in peace Lou, you will be missed. :(

    They are, I sent lou a blue dummy gun and he custom made for the new style p99 for me.

    Didn't even look, Lou's rig was always said to be one of the very best so I went right for it.

    I will say that the full size p99 probably pushes it for easy to conceal without a heavy outer garment. I'd probably go for subcompact or smaller for a shoulder holster were I to ever do it again.
