I read the whole thing. :eek3: I can only imagine seein' someone enter your vehicle before your own eyes. That shit is crazy. My Jeep has been broken into before, I only wish I was there with a gun.

So the guy was IN THE PROCESS of stealing your property and the cops didn't approve of showing your gun to stop it? :wtf:

i dont think he should have pulled his gun either. i woulda walked out there and went " you make one more move and ill be on you like stink on shit mother fucker!". there wasnt a direct personal threat. i dont think he had the right. had the guy made any threatning move towards him, then yea sure, time for the pistol.

each person has different feelings towards this. i would kill a bg in a heartbeat if he were threatning me or my family friends, etc. but i wouldnt kill anyone over a material item. i respect that some of you would, i just dont think i could

Still, the fact that the cops told him he could get in trouble for SHOWING his gun is bullshit. I would have drawn on the mother fucker, just because I draw DOESN'T mean I'm going to shoot. If he makes a move at me after that, I pull the trigger. Several times.

I've had shit stolen before, if the guy doesnt cooperate I'de have no problem putting a few rounds of .40 in him. Unfortunently I would goto jail for it in NY :hsd:

So if you walked outside and saw a guy stealing your car and you told him to stop and he didn't, you think that justify's you to put some bullets in him? :ugh2:

Nah I guess not but he should at least be wounded. A .45 to the hips should provide him a constant reminder not to steal shit for the rest of his life :naughty:

i wouldnt kill someone for theft, unless they had a weapon.

I might hold them at gunpoint until the cops arrive.. but thats why I also carry pepper spray.. spray them down and then beat the shit out of them until the cops come :mamoru2:

Yep. My car, not yours. You didnt fucking work for it. Why should I sit back and take it in the ass from you? Why should you be free to go, only to probably come back and rob me or my neighbors?

Well in TX I'de be ok to do it here in NY, I'de be getting arrested, is it morally right? probably not, do I care? not really, especially if its my bike I had a bike stolen before if I caught someone in the act, well lets just say shooting is to good for them I got better plans, I'm talking pliers and blowtorch stuff :o

Nah, don't shoot him over the truck.
There's legal and moral implications to it.

I think the right sequence would be:

You cover him and order him to stop.
If he runs away, fine, let him run. You still have your truck.
If he stops and waits for the cops, fine. You still have your truck.

If he ATTACKS you, then you're justified in shooting him.

Yes, yes I do. I work hard for my stuff and it's the person's choice to try to take it from me. At that point they are no longer a human but some animal and I am going to do what it takes to keep them from stealing my property.

Human life means little when it's a criminal trying to rob or hurt me. Then he's just another animal needing to be put down if that's what it takes.
