Where do y'all recommend I look to pick up some appropriate screwdrivers/clamps/etc? I'm sure I could take apart my shit now with what I have in the garage but I'd like to get the right tools before I start anything serious.

Right now I have an ancient Remington rolling block which I will probably never fire and and I just got a 91/30 that I want to take apart and clean and oil before I go to the range. Next will probably be an SKS.

buy a tipton gun vise for any kind of work unless you plan on actually mounting a padded vise on a bench. Cleaning rod wise I like the carbon fiber tipton rods since theres no coating to scratch off or anything like that.
