COMIC GunGrave Is Awesome.

Discussion in 'Entertainment' started by iNcReDible fRoGG, Dec 29, 2004.

  1. Just finished watching GunGrave. Great story, great sound, great character development, good animation. To tell you the truth, it had me in tears at the end :wtc:. In my opinion, this anime's second only to Cowboy Bebop, and its story second to FMA's.

    Watch. Now. Go.

Oh and I thought the story was better than FMA's. I don't what's up with so many people liking FMA. It revolves around some weird journey to get a boy's body parts back. The characterization was also not as good as Gungrave.

  7. Hmm, I guess that's because I love stories where you have absolutely no idea what twist the plot will take next. FMA's had an extremely convoluted story, but it was very neatly tied together at the end, making every single detail put into the anime seem to have an own individual purpose. It's a masterpiece.

Yes, character development in FMA was definitely not as thoroughly complete as GunGrave's. The creators of FMA didn't characterize even the main character Ed as much as I had hoped. By the end of GunGrave, on the other hand, I thought that I knew every inch of Brandon and Harry.

GunGrave (as a whole) > most other anime.

awesome anime but hajime no ippo is the best anime ever made(in terms of character development)

  12. You're right, I do love Hajime no Ippo, but most people watch it for the action (it was created with that in mind). It's well-rounded in all other aspects, but to say that it beats GunGrave in character development... that seems totally wrong to me. By the end of the series, Ippo still very much remains the excited, hard-working boxer enthusiast with the same mentality that he became just after taking up boxing. We gain little insight into Ippo's character throughout the whole anime.

Tap X button 10,000 times to complete the level kind of game.

  17. Try www.anime-icon.com for cheap, decent-to-good quality import anime with decent-to-good subs. The webmaster's (Andy) a pretty nice guy too lol.

Wow... seeing as Cowboy and Alchemist (alond with Champloo) are my favorite animes, you've got me interested.

I shall check this one out when I see an opportunity.
