Never fired UF kit looked damn good, $400.

    Well used but clean 870, 24", $195.

What do you guys think, the 870 would be for clays, and then eventually I'd put a pistol grip and AR15 stock on it and cut it down.

The underfolder, dont really want to build one, but prices are pretty insane right now and these kits looked great.

I'm just in this thread to LOL at you for not buying one a year ago like I did, not to actually be helpful.

Although you should snap that 870 up, that's a great price.

I just really got into firearms, I dont have the luxury of past pricing. At the same time it hurts a lot less because I dont know any better, while you guys have to cry when you buy a kit at current prices :hs:

I would wait until the next show for an AK kit. The 870 sounds like a winner though.

870 is a good deal, buy it.

$400 for a kit......jesus. I paid $429 for my underfoler, already built, about a year ago. Fucking Obama. :(

Thats actually sound thinking. Prices on everything else are coming down, I should see what happens to the AK kit market. Even so, I have a shit job now and its hard to buy guns, I'll have a better job within a year and the money wont be as hard to come by.

eh, it depends. Remember, we got those rusted kits for $100, not even a year ago. I could see them dropping a little lower. But then again too, you could have DTOM coming in here in a year LOLing at you again if they go up and you want one then.

Thanks but I'd rather throw in the extra moneys and get the Polish kit, heritage and all that.

How much should a Mossin Nagant go for?

    $80-$120 depending on condition. Is it a 91/30, M44, M38?

Those are milled kits so you're going to have to do some major modification to the trunnions to get it to fit with a stamped receiver, or spring for a milled receiver which will end up costing more total than that $400 UF kit and a NoDak.

$400 is a decent price now, I doubt you'll find one cheaper.

If it's a really long mother fucker, it's the 91/30. The M38's and M44's are shorter.

$120 is about the going price these days if it's in good condition. Cycle the bolt a few times and make sure it doesn't stick, and check the barrel for any pitting or corroding inside.

AIM has some surplus 7.62x54R in stock to feed it.

Can a remington choke tube be permanently attached? I want to eventually cut the barrel down so that with a tactical choke tube (flame suit on) it comes out to 18".

If the Remington is an older 870 Wingmaster that is a very good price for it if it's in good shape.

You may be better off buying an 18" barrel rather than cutting the existing barrel down. It only takes a minute to switch out the barrels on an 870 and you can keep the 24" for hunting or clays. You can get a brand new Remington 18" barrel for a little over $100.

I think the days of cheap kit building are coming to an end. A few years back the import and demilling regulations changed and really screwed up the supply of kits. Many types of barrels and receivers can no longer be imported at all. I miss the $99 FAL kits :wtc:.
