Found one at the 3rd shop I went to. Thing is NICE  Only word that comes to mind is balanced. Probably going to pick one up in the next few weeks unless something else comes out that catches my eye.

I have an XDm .40 - it's great for killing people.

I wanna know how the XDm works in that it's SA... Is it the only striker fired pistol that's SA?

Keep it and have both! I'm going to let my wife carry my SR9 once I get a new gun. She wants something smaller but oh well.

Wish Springfield would go ahead and release the XDm in .45

I did fondle a 3.8 yesterday though, pretty damn nice.

I heard over on xdtalk that a XDm .45 will be announced at shot show.

The XDMs are pretty sweet. A buddy has a fullsized and it's a really nice shooter. The trigger jobs are extremely nice too. They may not get much credit from the internet commando community but BFD, most of those guys never shoot their guns anyway.

I can't even understand why someone would get a trigger job on an XD... The XD triggers are fuckin sweet stock.

I won't argue, they are pretty nice stock. You'll just have to try one with a trigger job to understand, they are really nice.

What's the stock pull weight? Feels like 3lbs... Front sight doesn't move at all. But I'm guessing that has something to do with it being SA.

Putting gun crew in the title is a little redundant if you're posting in WMD

    Feels great in my hand.

Oh hell I hope they announce it at the shot show. It will be a nice addition to my G21.

I had an XD-45 but favored the glock more, but the XDm's are awesome.

Oh and I held and dry fired a 4inch Kimber 1911 today... Made me nut myself a little. To bad 1911's are so expensive and impractical.

Just heard on the ruger boards that ruger will be announcing a 1911 at shot show... I is curious. Although I would still probably get a 3.8.

Keesh, the XDm isn't illegal to own in CA...just illegal for dealer's to sell. So if you were to live outside CA and decide to import one with you when you moved there, it is possible. After that point the gun can be sold with a PPT.

I agree, I would prefer that no guns have grip safeties because I think they are pointless, but it doesn't exactly take a gunsmith to pin. You don't hear people crying about them on 1911s.

The boreaxis is a whole 0.15" higher than on a Glock. I know you like quoting long articles from professionals but I'll spare ya and just give ya s short passage:

Calling a gun junk because there are a couple things you dislike about it is stupid. It's like saying you could beat me in a marathon because you have better shoes than me. Because you saw one malfunction in a class isn't going to prove to me they are junk, I've seen just about every gun malfunction, it happens, fix it and keep shooting. I can tell you that I never hear any of the experienced shooters trash on guns, because they know that it has less to do with the gun and more to do with who's behind the trigger.

I knew it would happen sooner or later. I kinda like it.
Can't say I'd replace my M&P with one... but it's definitely a good option.
