I want something tiny .38 is the smallest caliber I'll go...

As of right now I'm really leaning towards the SW 442.

I've been contemplating this one for so long.

Another one I've been looking at is the Kahr PM9

One gun that I've always really liked is the Kimber Ultra Carry II however that's not really that small. It would also be my first 1911 purchase...

Are there any other good, small 1911's out there?

    Secondary, backup, fun, carry :o

Sometimes the XD9 is too much when I'm wearing shorts and a tshirt :o

Especially since I've lost all this weight :(

I have a S&W model 60 in .357 that is nice but a little heavy. My unlce bought a air weight Taurus .38 for my aunt and that thing is light. Feels like nothing even when its loaded.

For deep cover carry, I like the Kel-Tec 9mm. Caveat: awful trigger.

Isn't that a fairly easy fix, or do they not have trigger upgrade kits for them?

I know you stated nothing smaller than a .38..

But consider a .32 Tomcat.. great gun.. I have 2.

In an article I posted this picture from it says the Tomcat with a .60 grain cartridge has the same stopping power as a .380.
