turned 21 not to long ago

    Ex-Army handled a M9(92fs?) alot

was looking for 9mm handguns at the local gun shop

92fs are expensive :noes: like 600 bucks :o that was brand new

I was eyeing the glocks though they have a full size one? 1/2 inch bigger at the slide and grip than the compacts???

they have 9mm glock for 400 dollars used (what descripencys(sp) should i look for?)

now the thing is everyone is like "man, glock hk blah blah blah are the best and high quality"

i was wondering what you guys think

    opinions please!

oh ya it has rails (not adapter) and adjustable sights

If you like the beretta nothing wrong with it just make sure you dont get cheap mags for it, personaly I like the glock alot better between the two.

and it doesnt come with a box

    only a trigger lock :o

You can get a new glock for about that, or used one with a bunch of accessories.

    To quote James Yeager :

All handguns should be nine millimeter. All nine millimeters should be Glocks. All Glocks should be model 19.

Run for fuckin ever, and Winchester White Box is 11.00/100 at Walmart. I shoot three-gun with a fairly stock Glock 34.

Get something in 9mm then. You can afford to practice, and WWB is GOOD stuff. It's not like the Wolf .45 you're forced to use if you want quality practice ammo.

though i dont personally own a glock im going to tell you this about it. its the only pistol i know of that will take the abuse. my buddy who has one chambered in .40 cal throws it in this box when hes not hunting. literally throws it in there. what other pistol can you claim to want to do that to just because it can handle it? that used glock will probably still be very nice and if it isnt, glock will send you replacement parts, not like other places.

now the xd9 is truly a great pistol. ive shot a few and ive loved every second of it.

but truly, its yours and you have to shoot it, so buy what feels/shoots/looks better to you

the beretta 92fs is a good gun to start on. Full size so it takes up the recoil. reliable with the right mags, and combat accurate. Since you've used the m9 before, you'll be familiar with it. If you want something different than the m9/92fs get something different, but if this is your first gun to get into it, i'd get the 92fs since you're already used to it.
