This was brought up in the "If Video Games Were Realistic" thread...figured I'd start a new topic hoping to get some info....

That seemed like such an awesome idea when I first heard about it. They havent updated that site since 2007...and it says Product coming in 2009...but I havent heard anything at all since that original news.

    Anyone hear anything?

Can't decide if this is a good idea or not. Seems too hard for a game and a shitty way to learn guitar :o

I know but its still in beta, im sure the notes can be written better. You also have to remember that they arent using songs that are broken into seperate peices like harmonix and activision are using. So when you miss a note the song keeps going.

The cool thing about this is that it also supports plastic guitars and drums and a bunch of other insturments. I hope the next rock band supports some real insturments.

the funny thing about this is, you play guitar video games because you cant play guitar for real or you just want a break from playing guitar for real...

if you can really play a guitar, shouldnt you be writing music or playing gigs or just learning a new song? its is like golfers going to a golf sim everyday, why even bother then? you have the talent to be on the green in the sun on a beautiful day why are you hitting at a green screen? you have the talent to play guitar why are playing to a computer controlled song and not in a band actually playing the song?

i donno i love playing rockband and i love jamming with other musicians its just seems like were mixing water with oil? :dunno:

Ehh, I can play real guitar/drums/bass and I enjoy the music games. I think this would be fun to mix the 2.
