According to the Australian Federation of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, no arm guillos are illegal in gi.

Unfortunately I have been practicing my guillotines for a comp and now I have to change it to arm in guillotines.

Does anyone have an awesome instructional for arm in guillotines, they are an assload harder to get on than a regular guillotine and I need help. *looks at chechen* :wavey:

I have been trying the arm in guilotine, but I can't get it to work, even after watching the video several times.

    Anyone got any ideas?

just do a five finger one, or ten fingers, keep looking for the trachia with your thumbs and jam your hand in there, crunch up and squeeze hard. Do they allow 5 finger guillotines in the comp? because those are easier for me to get then regular ones anyways, glue your hand to their chin and it's over

Go back to the old school bjj style were slamming was legal. Too many rules will turn bjj in to TKD.

No most chokes are blood chokes in bjj, where you block of the two carotid arteries when choking someone.

For example any triangle choke cuts of the blood by blocking both these carotid arteries, not so much the 'air pipe' you breathe through.

yes but a guillotine has never been a bloodchoke unless you do it like a rearnaked from the front

Disagree. Take a deep breath and let someone guillotine you for 20 seconds. When you wake up, you'll realize it was plenty of blood choke.

five fingers one is awesome because it's EVERYWHERE, and if it doesn't choke the person out it will definitely make them move or squirm and you will gain a position because of it. It's kind of a widely used move in our school so everybody rolls with tucked chins
