    GTO vs Cobra

Which would you choose? 03/04 cobra, or an 04/05 GTO? List your reasons also.

I obviously choose a Cobra. I had done some shopping on the GTO, and there were just too many turn-offs for me. The car looks like a jelly-bean, resale value is going to be horrible on them in the next few years with GM's massive rebates, among other reasons.

    Lets hear everyone elses opinion.

GTO here, not a fan of mustangs, '03 Mustangs are by far my favorite Mustangs in a while, I really like the GTO and the LS2 though. I have a few videos of pretty fast GTOs, one is [email protected] and it has the mods listed as: Subframe Connectors, Rear Sway Bar, 2600 Stall Converter, 100 Shot and BFGs on the stock 17" rims. I have the same car running 10.98, but it doesnt list the mods however. I have also seen a lot of REALLY fast 03 Mustangs, so either can be made fast real easy.

I really like the Cobra's, but I think I like the GTO just a little bit more.
Personal preference really. No good reason other than that. :dunno:

I like Cobras...but I picked GTO on the basis that the interior is IMMENSELY nicer in the GTO...plus naturally-aspirated reliability. Don't have to worry about the blower melting the block in spots like in the Lincolns.

    2005 GTO. I prefer a well-rounded muscle car to a one-trick pony.

It's an immeasurably nicer and more sophisticated muscle car perfectly suited for everyday driving (like to work everyday) as well as track use (weekend fun). The interior is elegantly styled, excellently trimmed and extremely appealing with space four adults and one of the best set of seats you'll find.

The performance with the LS2 is just as astounding as any stock SVT I've driven, with a better exhaust note and better manners when you don't have the pedal to the metal. The exterior is handsome and doesn't give the impression that you're making up for a lack of something in other areas or really need get everyone's attention. The road manners are fantastic with a super-stiff chassis and fluidly tuned independent suspension. Very European, very comfortable.

The SVT really shows it's old age in comparison, and isn't built or trimmed like a $34k car. It's brute performance is all it really has going for it, and the LS2 GTO is just as brutal without beating you up in every other way, including insurance.

GTO all the way, it's having your cake and eating it to.

Even though I actually like the 03-04 Cobra, I think the same could be said for me in a Ford. However, this is still a difficult poll for me :hs:

I know! One is faster and better looking, and the other is a GTO.

One is faster that's for sure, it's not the GTO

Better looking is perspective and opinion.

For a daily driver, the GTO

For a weekend racer, the Cobra.

I bought my 04 GTO and right now its my only car. I'm loving the automatic, especally in the 5-10mph commute I deal with daily.
