The story is basically the same, you catch alot of events from the anime, but the way they are carried out is mostly completly different

    Awesome awesome awesome

From what I've heard on GTO forums, the live-action drama followed the manga and then the anime.

They can't add in everything. The anime is 42 episodes or so long. The live action is only 13.

The Live Action is a drama series meaning that it is more emotional than the anime. They tend to play down his lolita complex and focus more on his helping the students/teachers while following his dream of teaching. It is probably one of the top 3 LA series that I've seen. Definately worth watching.

It still ends up as a decent series. It's good in a different way than its source material though.

    fuyutsuki! so easy

    just 冬月

Anyways, the live action is really good. I didn't watch the anime or read the manga but the drama was one of the best I've seen. it really is hilarious. Matsushima Nanako is one of my favorite actresses and Takashi Sorimachi is one of my favorite actors. Takashi was actually in competition for the sexiest man in Japan during this time. The other person would be the guy pictured in Matsushima's wall poster in her room (they did it as a joke).

Matsushima and Takashi got married afterwards in real life.
