If I had the money, I'd rather have that than a standard Corvette.

You could find a correct year vette and do that for less than you could get a new vette.

    I'd hit it!!!

Hadn't thought about that. If you did it right you could have a pretty sweet ride for ~$30-$35k.

Seems pretty natural to me. Limiting themselves to Ford stuff reduces their target market.

I'm wondering, if you built a kit car like that, would it even be street legal here in the US? Like do they have to go through safety standards or what not? I'm sure there's gotta be some government loophole that rapes you for $$$ on fees and other bullshit like that. Would it even be legal enough to be given plates and allowed to drive public roads?

Hmm, on second thought this GTM Supercar opens up some amazing possibilities. A Head and cam swap on an LS1 would easily get you around or over 500 rwhp. Imagine that much power in a 2250lb car.:noes:

Or imagine dropping in a Supercharged LS7 in there... can somebody say roadkill?

Does anybody else see the blood stain on the trailor door about head level, and the arm hanging out inside the Vette? :eek3: I guess that guy didn't make it.

Good question. A buddy of mine built a Cobra replica and didn't say anything about being hassled to get it titled/tagged.

Find a wrecked Vette with a good drivetrain and you might be able to do it for a little less. Even if you spent $40-50K, ~400hp in a 2250 lb. car sounds like a lot of fun. :naughty:

all you really need is the motor (and electronics and wiring harness) as the kit requires a Porsche transaxle.

You could probably use a lot of parts bin GM stuff as well judging from the parts list. This thing has the potential to be a junkyard special that beats up on Ferraris.
