What do you guys think about grits? I'm getting sick of oats and picked up some Quaker Instant Grits today. I know some people think they taste like creamy white poo, but I like them alright enough. Are grits a decent alternative to oats?

not at all a decent alternative to the almighty oats......they are good with butter and sugar or cheese and bacon.

    Sugar on grits? Ugh... Northerners.

Cook up some egg beaters, mix with the grits, add just a touch of butter and some seasoning... Good breakfast!

small bit of butter, not a lot. If you cannot stand the blandness, add some sugar.

And yes they are great with eggs!

I love grits. Adding bacon is heavenly. I put scrambled eggs in mine all the time though.
