Grip

    My grip is really weak. Mostly when doing DB work outs. Do you guys use straps for DB's? I'm not lifting real heavy weights or anything, but I still feel like my workouts are slacking because I cannot grip the weight long enough to finish the sets. Straps?

    i used to use straps all the time until one day i forgot them and realized how fucking weak my grip was.

    i slowly began just working out with straps, and using them ONLY when i could not hold any longer.

    i would advise you use them, but don't use is as a crutch.

    If I'm doing something like high rep DB rows I'll chalk up and go until my grip fails then strap up...

    I'd incorporate grip workouts into your routine. having a strong grip is just as important as strong arms. if you can't hold on to it, it doesn't matter how much you can lift!

    Unless your grip is failing don't use straps.

    DB rows...if I'm trying to be like Matt Kroc my hands give out around 10-12 reps with the 130's so I like to strap up and get a few more reps in...

    shitty knurling and I sweat a lot...


    but my grip is stronger then my pull so it really doesn't matter if I have to strap up for the last few reps...
