I just checking in from BMT. So far so good  Its not been bad here. I did a poor job of staying low but its ok. I am leaving for warrior week tommorow at 1300 so I am excited.

BMT is great though and I am proud to have joined the AF and look forward to loosing the title of trainee and get the title of airman :coold:

It is threads like this that will simultaneously send recruits to the Air Force and the Army/Marines. :mamoru:

Damn trainees, seems like they have it easier now. I didn't even touch a computer during basic. Took me a few weeks into tech school before I was back on the internet.

Ok, I can see letting a trainee send an email from BMT instead of making a phone call, but posting on a forum is just rediculous. What the hell is wrong with his TI?

When I was in Basic and Infantry training last July-Oct at Ft. Benning, as long as you were on your Sunday pass if you got one, they had phones, computers, tv, food etc you go could go purchase up at the recreation center. Alot of people would come just watch TV, or play pool. I would hop on the internet for a bit and call home most of the time.

It just depended on which unit and what company you were in. Some of the companies didn't give any passes. Some guys would get to go on pass from probably 10am-4pm on Sunday. We typically had a 3-4hr pass on Sunday. It didn't happen every sunday but I probably had about 4 or 5 in the 14week period.

In the morning people could go to church and everyone else stayed back and cleaned the bays and the outside areas. We did get to watch about an hr of the Olympics because my buddy in my PLT was friends with Michael Phelps so we watched him swim. We had a radio maybe the last few days of training in our PLT.

It pretty much comes down to where you get sent to and how your Drill SGTs ran things.

Never had a day off... On Sundays we could go to church, or we could clean the bays. that was it.
