So I've decided I'd like to make a career out of the military, but the enlisted ranks don't quite do it for me... I have a little under 4 years until my contract expires and I'm trying to gtfo of my platoon's formation quicker than that. What are the requirements and how hard is it to get in to it? 6 year contracts ftl...

Need to look at your branch's enlisted commissioning programs (MECEP, BOOST, etc....) or go talk to an OSO recruiter to figure out your options. Also, there is the Warrant Officer porgram.

See my joke was based on the Blue to Green program that was highly unsuccessful. With the AF cutting 40K people out, the new program would be Blue to Blue, working for Wal-Mart. Since he is Army the first instance of Blue denoting AF does not apply. I changed the first Blue to Green to make the joke fit better. I could be wrong but I have never seen a platoon in the AF.

    Now it isn't funny :madfawk:
