I finished hooking up my little aquos lcd tv to a simple dvd player and the dvd "phantom of the Operah" plays with a green tint. There is problem number one. Problem number two is, when I use my componant wires (blue, green, red) no image will come up. It seems I have to use the rca wires along with it to get an image and sound. What is the deal? The dvd player is a run of the mill sony with componant and rca jacks.

to use the component output you probably have to hook the tv up with the basic rca cables and then access the menu to switch the dvd player to component output. As far as the green tint I'm not too sure. I was thinking your component cables were hooked up incorrectly, but you don't have them hooked up yet. Try the component cables and see if that fixes the issue.
