Anybody ever use those powders which are processed green foods. Mixtures of all kinds of seaweed, plants, and other things?

I know my mom has been doing something similar recently, only putting actual veggies in a blender and making it herself.

Says she definitely notices more energy and overall wellbeing when drinking it consistently.

Hmm lots of good reviews on Greens+ ... and they offer something for dogs. Might have to pick some up for the pooch too.

    Link to green+?

A while back I got on this whole food, organic kick where most of what I ate was just meat, veggies, fruit, and whole grains. It wasn't ideal macros so I stopped... Plus that shit got expensive.

I tried blending up various fruits and veggies once or twice a day. The taste was "interesting", but I felt pretty good and you could set a watch to my bowel movements.

I actually met a dude that worked at a hospital and he's really into organic stuff, and whole foods/green foods. He recommended me a book that a lot of nutritionists use that goes into details about supplements, foods, what they do, why you should eat them, and what to pair it with, etc... etc....

It sounded pretty interesting. I've always been a proponent of this type of stuff (whole food/green food living), but never had the money/patience to be dedicated with it.

I can get the name of the book if anyone's interested. I ordered it on Amazon and they fucked up my order and refunded me the money and I never got around to re-ording it. Perhaps I should.

Just eat real broccolli, steam it, add olive oil and salt and you're good to go

If you can't steam it, boil it, but don't throw away the cooking water, drink it, it has half the nutrients

to be honest if you pick up The Omnivore's Dilemma you might get a fire lit under your ass to pay more attention to the shit you eat

if the guy was a nutjob I wouldn't recommend it, but his skepticism about all the things he learns keeps a lot of that weird organic talk at bay... he's not some hemp wearing, granola eating dude

Dense book and no bullshit fluffer info. Important read, IMO.

Yeah, that's my issue. Chicago has a pretty jumpin' green-food scene and some neighborhoods are loaded with organic/whole food grocers and specialty shops.
It's just too expensive to justify at the moment.

I never cared much until I started hanging out more with "outdoors" type people that rock climbed, biked, hiked, etc...
Now I engage in all of the above.

Not a fan of GNC at all but they have one called GNC Mega Green. I took em for a while. I don't see the point in taking a green pill anymore though, I just take a now adam, and eat a lot of vegetables.
