Can someone explain the the charge of gas that pushes the action back. It looks like the bullet triggers something?
looks like the gas thats propelling the bullet
there's a hole in the barrel, and after the bullet passes, a little gas escapes the barrel into the gas tube and pushes the bolt or piston back.
desert eagle is one of the few handguns that uses this same principle
