Lately I've been listening to a lot of music with great female singers, mostly easy listening type stuff, and I'm looking for some more names to check out. I really like Eva Cassidy, Sade, Fiona Apple, Norah Jones and Annie Lennox and I'm looking for similar sounding stuff.

It's kinda high energy, but the Mates of State vocals are spot on. Really catchy too.

If you want to listen to any alt rock with a female singer, Melissa Auf Der Maur is awesome.

I think the female singer from the Cowboy Junkies has an amazing voice. I LOVE "White Sail" and "Ring on the Sill"

If you'd like a very soothing group with a female singer, I'd recommend The Rocking Horse Winner. Their album, A State of Feeling Concentration is excellent. Jolie Lindholm, their singer, also did some work with Dashboard Confessional so you may recognize her voice if you listen to them any :dunno:
