Looking at this fight I have to think Guida should win, but i think Diaz stays so damn calm, Guida's pace wont present such an issue, Guida will walk into a lot of shots, and when Guida does take him down I dont see him inflicting too much damage with a guard as active as Nates.

I hate to say it, hate hate to say it. Diaz by decision.

Agreed, although like you said with the guard work of nate there may be a submission, if he pulls of a nice and technical submission, otherwise guida is just going to muscle and cardio his way out of it

Either way great fight to have on the card!

im not sure about this fight sounds like a good one. I could see either guy winning. Guidas style is just frustrating for grapplers like danzig and guida

and the diaz bro's wrestling is nonexistant, going to basically be guida doing a lot of nothing on top of nate

i hate to say it, but its gonna be 3 rounds of lay & grind by guida.

id like to see clay go against griffin, sherk, & clementi then get the boot from the ufc.

each of his fights is more of the same. punch in to close the distance, clinch, take down, smash, have ref stand up, then repeat. he's not trying to vary and improve his game.

That is pretty dumbass reasoning to me, just because you dont like the way someone fights doesn't mean you should want them kicked from the league.

Eg: I hate the way Tim Sylvia fights, but when he was with the UFC do i think he should have been cut because he is boring? Hell no.

Guida is not the most technical dude out there to say the least, but you can't tell me you found the Huerta fight boring.

PS: The carpenter has already fought tyson griffin, and it was a hell of a cool fight

Yeah I can see people hating on Guida's style but he doesn't LnP everyone, however it's a tenchnique that he can take advantage of when an opponent is dangerous in other areas, how many of us wouldn't fall back on something like that :hsugh:?

Diaz is a resilient and wiley bastard but Guida will take the fight to him and I don't actually see this going to the ground via Clay too often. I actually see Guida rushing inside and roughing Diaz up standing, after all Nick doesn't have much strength in his standup :o

guida by decision. i don't think nate poses such a huge threat on the ground. guida's beaten better grapplers before like aurelio.

I think the greasy beamer will take it off his back by sub. The dirty caveman will lay on him too long and make a mistake.
