    What did you guys think of it. I thought it was a classic. I can definately see why Roger Ebert calls it one of the best movies he's ever seen in his life.

    Very good film, captures the raw essence of some of the tragedies of war, but in a refreshing different perspective of anime.
    I must admit i got a bit misty eyed :o

    I cried. It was an awsome movie. One of the best movies I have ever seen.

    Watched it last week - made me cry twice (when he sees his mother wrapped up, then again when his sister dies). Powerful because it shows the other side of the coin - not the typical western perspective.

    It's one of the best movie I have seen in all my 31 years, and I am greatly affected by it.

    An amazing movie!

    I just rewatched it the other day, damn that movie sure can rip your heart out. :hs:

    the dvd has some very nice extras also.

    anyone seen now and then here and there it is very good... see some very sad things about war from a young kids perspective
