    See this image:

I need to make graphs like this for a web application. Tens or hundreds of thousands of data points, but it should also be interactive. i.e. zooming in and looking around.

I could implement this with svg and javascript but that is so hard hah. Can't just plot a million lines and change the zoom factor. I'm sure it's possible to do by sending plotting the important points given the current zoom factor and using xmlhttprequest when that changes to get the new points to plot, but this is a shit lot of work and it won't even do a thing without javascript or svg (something I could mess around with later though)

So, maybe something like this already exists: it would probably be just an image though and work just like google maps (ie generating and sending an image instead of points). Any ideas?

    Thanks.
