Anyone know why I get refraction, or defraction.. whatever the eff it's called?

Happens on BF2 Vanilla, not SF for some reason. SF plays much smoother for me.

    Running a 3700xp, 2gb corsair xms, 7800gt, and a 2005fpw at 1680x1050.

In Bf2, I mainly notice it while flying or going fast. I don't fly much in SF, so that might be why it's better. Haven't actually played it much, so not sure.

I've also tried Black and White 2, and had the same issues.

Basically it looks like shit is flying around on the screen, black graphical display breaks and such.

Drivers are up to date, direct x is up to date, etc. Running out of ideas.

What brand is the Card? Also WHat settings do you have the card on? ARe they on High? Have you tried to lower the settings to see if that has changed anything with the game?

    eVGA 7800GT.

Settings are probably on high, no lower than medium.

I believe it also happened when playing Black and White 2 though, with default settings.

I just got a new PSU, and that didn't fix a thing. so I imagine it's either the video card, or motherboard.
