What are the lower-end graphics cards that are known to work at this resolution. I'm interested in people who have with this type of thing as many of the answers I find on Google say "it should work."

    Does anyone know what works?

Just about any card sold today will run this resolution. You need to narrow this down a bit, like what's your budget and what type of video slot does your machine run?

    Here's a few choices:

    This is a great card from a great manufacturer - BFG 6600GT 128MB 128bit GDDR3
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143083

You could move to an open-box 7300 or 7600 card, but all you really get is more memory. The 6600 card listed is actually a much faster card than a cheapo version of the 7600. An example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130076R

Unless you have a requirement for alot of video memory, the first card is the better choice than any 7600 I've seen on the market.

Almost any videocard made in the past 4 years will do 1680X1050. I run it on an integrate Xpress 200 chipset without a problem.
