    Hi

I currently have the Intel D845GRG motherboard running a P4 2.6. Just out of curiosity, I was wondering what sort of add in graphics card (ATI or NVIDIA) would go well with this system, when I get the time and money..... The Intel FAQ for the board says "The D845GRG AGP socket can accept universal AGP cards that comply with the AGP 2.0 specification. The D845GRG can use 1X / 2X / 4X card(s)" Does this mean that Newer AGPX8 cards such as the GEForce FX series wont work, or will they run but at the slower speed (4X) ?

    Any recommendations ? :o

The FX series will work just fine, and yes it'll run slower at 4x.

Personally I won't spend anf more than about $100 for graphics card and save up to build a whole new system with PCI-E 16x slot.
