Not too many, I'd say. Limited production run and in 1988, Buick decided to be the car company for little blue haired old ladies with no driving skills or appreciation for quality.:(

My Dad had 3 of them back in 89-90. All 3 ran 11.90's or faster...

  10. My buddy has a GN he just got finished restoring. Thing sat around forever and the previous owner didn't really know what they had. That thing is quick as hell. Too bad they are butt ass ugly but hey, with that power, does it really matter? My friend loves pulling up next to kids with ghetto'd out Civics and crap, revving the engine to see if they'll race. 9 out of 10 times the stupid kid doesn't know what the hell my friend has. Most of them think its just an old Regal or something. Its great to see them at the next light and just laugh at their amazed expressions.

Subjective sure, but I think it's a handsome and sinister car. I love the styling inside and out. I've also never encountered anyone who didn't know what a Grand National was, though I don't find it surprising ricebois might be in the dark.

I've been a fan of GN's for 13+ years now, I still think that they look really cool even after all of this time.

One of my good friends has a 84 Hurst/Olds with a GN engine and tranny in it. He hasn't driven it in close to 2 years, maybe someday I'll get to buy it from him.
