I got caught up on all the GL stuff from rebirth to blackest night but im burnt out on green lantern. Im still keeping up with it but I want to take a break before I jump into all the pre rebirth stuff.

Looking for something good preferably DC to read. I already read watchmen and kingdom come. Im thinking maybee superman red son or crissis? Any recomendations.

I'd definitely read Red Son, it's great. I was just a bit :wtf: with the ending a bit :mamoru:

I'd also say perhaps Superman: Birthright. If you liked that one i'd also recommend Superman and the Legionnaire of Super-Heroes, the new one. You don't have to know much prior-history before that.

And though not strictly DC, i always recommend Fables if you want to start something new. I got my girlfriend hooked into comics by getting her to read Pride of Baghdad, it's purely awesome.
But by the time you finish that, you'll want to read Y: The Last Man which will leave you all emotional and kinda wow'd out.
Which you'll want something a bit lighter but with a punch, so you'll have to read Judd Winick's run of Green Arrow.

    Something like that, perhaps?

im looking for something thats either an alternate story line or some thing like watchmen that is one novel. Im trying not to get dragged into something new.

I'm definitely getting superman red son now and arkham asylum. Was justice any good I hear a lot of people talking about it. I also might want to jump into the whole crisis what can I get for that?

The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. Stay away from the sequel though (The Dark Knight Strikes Again).

Vertigo is towards the more "adult" stuff, often considered to be the "high-brow" of comics/graphic novels. I  their stuff though.
XTREME COCKSUCKER, god bless his name, got me Luna Park from them at christmas and i loved it.

Wildstorm is just full of over the top crazy superheroes. The Authority is the only good stuff they've got on there truth be told :hs:

you're not likely going to find anything on par with watchmen.

but seriously... you should check out robots vs zombies vs amazons by ashley wood. it's a good read and the artwork is amazing. same with suburban glamor. the artwork was cool and the story was good. :dunno: but whatever, as long as you're reading arkham asylum i guess i can let it slide.
