How is the Airforce, Army, Navy, and Marines different for you if you were to enlist as a fresh, young face with no military experience?

It's a life goal of mine to obtain a Masters in Business, and the pay grades for Officers in either departments look promising (and a HELL of an adventure)

    Let's hear it :o

If your goal is a degree I would say Air Force. You can get one in the other branches but it will be way easier shore duty in the US on an Air Force base.

it may be easier to get a degree in the AF but it wont be easy to transfer to the officer ranks

I would be going into the AF with the Degree already obtained; Do you think that would aid my chances of quicker advancement?

you have to remember this is the military, everyone starts from the bottom, or close to it at least. You aren't gonna jump into a command without the experience necessary. Just because you have a higher education does not mean that you have the skills to be an officer in the US military, there are many school involved that will test your physical and mental abilities.

only way you can start as an officer and higher than a LT is to either come in as a doctor or lawyer

not in the least, why enlist with a degree when becoming an officer is your goal? why not just apply officer first?

An LT is nowhere near the bottom of the ranks. Bottom of officer ranks yes, but not if you include all ranks.

I don't know how you guys in the air force work, but in the army a butter bar is just as bad as being a fuzzy these days.

Yeah, but if you tell a butter bar to go screw himself, you had better out rank him.
