I need a foolproof proxy. I had a working cgi proxy and it just got blocked. Now I NEED another working one. A simple google search won't work because every damn link triggers the smart filter. Anyone think they can help?

obviously, every proxy we find gets shut down within weeks. That is about a long enough time to have another one lined up.

if you hate your job so much why don't you just quit, rather than finding ways to get fired?

    Very stupid.

If you don't trust them to do their work with the uncensored internet at their disposal, how can you trust them to be in the military!?

I have to agree that it is dumb to a certain degree. We don't know exactly what the military has surf controlled. The obvious is easy but I can also understand the chat programs as well.

Understandable that they would want to keep in touch with family and friends with MSN, Yahoo, etc. I can also see it from the other end where they do not want information disclosed. Not that any American is in kahoots with the enemy but more for the fact of sharing 'news' with family and friends. Sure enough, one relative works for CNN NETWORK, FOX NEWS or some major media outlet. That is the last thing the military wants is some American soldier 'sharing news' or file-transfering some 'COOL DIGITAL pictures' he shot. Tomorrow, read it in the papers and its plastered over CNN. Remember the infamous pics of the Americans torturing or other informational leaks in the last year?

Yes because my husband getting on yahoo to chat with me and turning on a web camera so he can see the kids and they can see him is going to be plastered allll over the papers .. I know about opsec.. so does he.. ITs not MILITARY wide.. He simply wants to get on yahoo to chat with me and the kids.. with out the annoyens of having to type it in an e-mail every 5 secs which he is doing anyway he also works long crazy hours so he does not have TIME to go down to the cyber cafe to get on yahoo to chat.. why dont you guys go back to playing WOW and leave this topic for people willing to help.

I dont' give a shit what he "wants to do." He's at a PC that's behind a military firewall. There's a firewall there for a reason...if he goes on the internet and gets a trojan on that PC then there's a PC behind a firewall that's compromised. One guy doing this means the entire base may as well not have any firewall protection.

    Very, very stupid.

Just to make it clear....anything involving "bypassing" security measures will not be tolerated. This includes ways around school proxies and other such mischievous maneuvers.

Their (your?) little torture camp? You bet I remember!

I wouldn't mind shaking the hand of whoever leaked that. The guys directly and indirectly involved with the torturing on the other hand-...

Not that it matters but I'll guarantee you when I worked for the air force I did not bypass their firewall.
